Meet our Founder
Laurie J. Earp, Ph.D. (h.c.), Principal
Laurie has lived to make positive change. In 1992, she began her professional path in the nonprofit and political worlds as a vehicle for such change.
Earning a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Management in 1994, Laurie opened her firm in 1996. With a 7-month-old baby daughter, Laurie started to build her clientele with her first client, then-California Assemblymember Barbara Lee. The list has grown and diversified much over the last 30 years.
In addition to her on-hands event planning & fundraising work, Laurie loves mentoring and inspiring the next generation of fundraisers and event planners. She is often called upon to speak at trainings, conferences, and as a guest lecturer at universities throughout the Bay Area. Laurie is proud to have worked as an adjunct faculty member of SFSU's Non-Profit Management department for nearly a decade as well as for its Conference & Meeting Planning department. When time permits, Laurie writes about fundraising and has been a guest editor for the Grassroots Fundraising Journal's "Special Events" Issue.
Passion-driven, Laurie loves the challenges clients bring to her – to elevate their events, their mission, visibility, and fundraising – and seeing to it that all their goals are met.
